Install and publish the website widget

Deploy the generated embed code and verify a visitor conversation on your real domain.

Prerequisites

Finish widget configuration. You need access to your site's code or tag-management deployment and permission to publish widget changes.

Install

  1. In Config → Web Widget, add the exact staging and production domains you intend to use.
  2. Set branding, languages, welcome content, and behavior. Review both language previews and mobile sizing.
  3. Publish the reviewed configuration and open the deployment tab.
  4. Copy the generated embed code exactly. Use its actual source URL and widget key; do not invent a script URL from an old example.
  5. Add it to the site's deployment location specified by the generated instructions. Avoid installing the same widget twice through both a theme and a tag manager.
  6. Deploy the website, open the allowed domain in a fresh visitor session, and send a message.
  7. Open Website Widget inbox, reply, and verify the visitor sees the response. Repeat on mobile and in the other configured language.

Expected result and recovery

The correct branding appears on the allowed website and messages flow in both directions. If it fails, check publication, domain spelling, copied code, duplicate installation, content-security restrictions, and browser network errors. Preview success alone is insufficient.
