Create products, options, and variants

Prerequisites

Use an account with product creation or editing permission. These steps apply to AI Node managed products. External products must be changed in their source system.

Create a product

1. Open Products → Add Product at Create product.
2. Enter the name, Arabic name if needed, descriptions, category, images, and tags. Explain what the customer is buying and any important limitations.
3. Choose the pricing type offered by the form. Enter the default variant's SKU, price, and currency.
4. If you track stock, enable inventory tracking and enter the quantity and low-stock threshold.
5. Review Active and AI Visible, then save. Reopen the product to confirm it was stored.

Add options and variants

Open the product detail page. Use its options and variants controls to define choices such as size or color and the actual sellable combinations. Give each variant its own SKU. Set the variant price and stock where appropriate; changing a product description does not update every variant's inventory.

Edit or retire a product

Open the native product's edit action, change its descriptive fields, and save. Manage existing variants from the detail page. Review visibility and active status before removing an item from customer recommendations. Read the confirmation before a destructive action.

Expected result and troubleshooting

The product appears in the list and opens with the intended variants. If save fails, read the field or server error, check required SKU/price/currency values, and confirm the source is not external. If AI cannot find it, check active status, AI visibility, and the wording of the question.
